Magenta Technology’s Echo announces new integration with GroundScope

Magenta Technology and GroundScope are pleased to announce the two-way integration between Magenta’s unique real-time scheduling and dispatch platform for private car hire, Echo, and GroundScope’s leading global ground transportation platform for corporate travel. Echo’s customers will immediately gain through a having access, at no extra cost, to new jobs within London and across the UK.

This fully secure gateway developed by Magenta in concert with GroundScope, automatically dispatches requested jobs to Echo private car hire customers, with the service updating every 30 seconds. The benefit to Echo customers is two-fold: an instant new channel to the market and, possibly for the first time, having entry to corporate clients operating worldwide. With the integration available, Echo’s customers are gaining the opportunity to tender to these potential new corporate accounts, thereby securing substantial long term new business.

Echo will receive full booking details, including the requested vehicle type, any number of pickup and drop off addresses, special driver instructions and controller notes, requests for callouts and other supporting details. Based on the settings, Echo’s pricing can be calculated independently or based on the mileage quoted to the end customer by GroundScope.

Any updates to booking details (like passenger name, contact details, extra stops or change of time) are sent thought to Echo to update the job, whilst Echo sends back the allocated driver’s name and contact details.  The job is then automatically scheduled and despatched, and the end customers are informed on the allocated vehicle progress with text messages to ensure customer service excellence.

John McCallion, CEO of GroundScope comments: “Being a part of Magenta’s real-time and dispatch platform is a great step for us, as we’re excited to expand our customer service network and further integrate our ground transport and corporate travel content into another technology service.”

Matt Borland, Sales Director at Echo commented: “This is a great service for our customers, offering access to potentially lucrative new market opportunities, especially with global corporate accounts, through GroundScope’s global platform for corporate travel whilst retaining Echo’s feature rich functionality and dynamic real-time scheduling and dispatch engine to deliver the best possible passenger experience.”
