The GroundScope management team consists of experienced operations and technology specialists from the travel and retail sectors. Individually and collectively the team has demonstrated delivery of enhanced efficiency and effectiveness for a range of demanding internationally diverse clients.
John McCallion
Managing Director
John has a corporate commercial, marketing and business development background gained with large retailers including Pepsi Co and Marks & Spencer.
John has a track record of developing several retail businesses into customer focused, professionally managed operations. John was a founding Director of Active Hotels Europe’s leading online hotel reservations supplier which had revenues of £100m before it was acquired by Priceline.com. Previously he was a Director in the 3i backed MBO of Great Western Trains where he grew revenue from £250m to £350m before selling the business to First Group Plc. John is a business management and marketing graduate and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing from Westminster University.
Emma Hamlin
Operations Director
Emma is a highly professional and process orientated Operations Director with over 14 years of significant business development expertise within complex multi level organizations at both European and International level. Emma is responsible for planning, organising and implementing complex IT and customer service projects ensuring that they are delivered to the client’s requirement on time and on budget. Emma is an analytical, strategic thinker with wide business and commercial skills. She is highly numerate with excellent interpersonal skills and works closely with IT and Finance to develop tailored solutions for GroundScopes clients. Emma is responsible for all service delivery aspects of the GroundScope service and is involved from the initial client evaluation though to developing implementation plans that fit each customer’s specific requirements. Emma is also responsible for client account management including monthly management reporting on service partner performance against SLA. Emma holds a BSc (Hons) in Biology from RHUL and has continued her professional development with a range of external strategic business training courses. Emma has also been involved in the implementation of ISO14001 Environmental Quality System.
Russell Jackson
Finance Director
Russell is a commercially orientated Finance Director who is highly integrated into the commercial, IT and operational aspects of the business. Using his wealth of experience in both management accounting and financial control Russell has set up financial reporting and payment systems that ensure that the highly complex financial nature of our business runs smoothly and effectively. Russell is a fast track finance professional who holds a Masters Degree in Engineering from Durham University and is a fully CIMA qualified . Russell trained and qualified with Wyeth a listed Global Pharmaceutical business before moving to a Financial Controllers position in Burgundy Global which has given him a wealth of experience in the ground transport sector together with a working knowledge of the financial systems operating across the global ground transport and travel sector.
Jason Schofield
TAG - Chief Technology Officer
Jason has been responsible for developing the TAG TP IT booking tool. Having spent several years in ground transport IT, Jason has a huge knowledge and understanding of the various IT systems that operate globally across the online and travel management sectors. Jason is responsible for ensuring that the TAG TP booking tool continues to develop to meet customer needs and expectations and delivers a world class IT service to all clients. Jason is highly integrated into the Operational and Financial aspects of the business and manages his team to ensure that customers are supported to the highest level. Jason previously worked for in systems design for Hewlett Packard.
